Steel Ball Run: Part 7 of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure announced for anime adaption
Part 7 of acclaimed manga series, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, has been announced for an anime adaption.
The announcement came during the Warner Bro's Japan livestream for JoJo day this 12th April, described as a "fan event connecting both past and future" for the franchise.
Since the release of the last instalment of JoJo's anime adaption in December 2021, Stone Ocean, fans have speculated on if and when the next part will come. "I'm not ready for the person I'll become when Steel Ball Run is animated", said one twitter user.
Once announced, fans immediately swarmed social media to share their excitement. A fan on twitter said in reaction, "this poster is already giving me chills. Can't wait to see the wild ride that Steel Ball Run is going to be. JoJo never disappoints!"
There is yet to be a release date announced for the anime adaption, with little more said than "coming soon". However, it has been confirmed that David Productions will produce the latest part of JoJo's as they had for the all previous parts of Hirohiko Araki's classic manga series.
Steel Ball Run sees us following a new JoJo, Johnny Joestar, and his race across America with companion and mentor Gyro Zeppeli. Their goal; to master Spin Energy and prevent Funny Valentine, President of the United States, from obtaining the Holy corpse.
The Steel Ball run manga had its first issue released in 2004 and finished in 2011, in Japanese manga magazine Ultra Jump. The official English release of the manga, however, is for 27 May, 2025.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure enjoyed its first manga release in 1987 and is divided into nine separate stories. The ninth part, The JoJolands, started being written by Araki in 2023 and is still running in Japanese manga magazine Ultra Jump.
